Dear Angler,

On behalf of the organizing committee I would like to thank all the participants, namely the captains, anglers, skippers, assistants and boat owners whose skill mirrored their professionalism which made this 2011 edition a very exciting endeavour with no less than 59 strikes and 22 marlins released.

We wish to express special thanks to our prestigious sponsors of worldwide recognition, Air Mauritius, Naïade Events and Blue Marlin Beer who made this international competition possible.

The Island of Mauritius is a well-known destination for big game fishing’ lovers with the unique and famous SIOBC Competition which remains one of the most important event gathering for anglers from all over the world in an astonishing setting of blue crystal-clear waters of the southern Indian Ocean.

Our participants are mainly from Finland, Denmark, Europe, South Africa, Zambia, Russia, France and Ukraine but the Club is looking forward to attract Anglersfrom all over the world.

We are once again hosting the venue of the 12th edition which will take place from the 4th to the 11th February 2012.
